Non NHS Services / Private Work Fees

Doctors are frequently asked to complete forms, reports, certificates, and letters for purposes such as HGV/PSV medicals, fitness for work, travel, or sport. These services are usually private (non-NHS) and require full recipient details—“to whom it may concern” letters are not provided.

Patients must complete their personal details on any paperwork before submitting it. If a physical examination is needed, a longer, special appointment (often outside normal hours) must be arranged through Reception.

Paperwork can take up to 14 days to complete. Most requests carry a fee, payable in advance. Early requests for a Fit Note (before the required consecutive days) are treated as private sick notes and are also chargeable.

For prescription requests please use the NHS App or online services, email us, register to use our telephone request service or drop your repeat slip at the practice.
