Veteran Information

The NHS is here to help improve your health and wellbeing and keep you mentally and physically well. It is also here to help you get better when you are ill and, when you cannot fully recover, to stay as well as you can until the end of your life.

Our Commitment to you as a Veteran of the UK Armed Forces

Bishop’s Close Medical Practice is veteran accredited, and we are committed to supporting you as a veteran of the UK Armed Forces. Dr Huntley is the veterans’ GP lead.

Once we have been informed that you have served in the Armed Forces, this can be noted on your medical records with your permission. You may receive priority treatment for medical conditions related to your service, subject to the clinical needs of other patients.

There are dedicated services available offering support with finance, healthcare, employment, housing, social care and more for UK Armed Forces veterans and their families.
